General Terms & Conditions

1. The following terms and conditions correspond to a binding agreement between the participant and the organisers of the courses.

2. Booking conditions

2.1. Applications are conducted through the on-line form. A confirmation email will be sent after the application has been received.

2.2. The participant undertakes the responsibility to pay the invoice(s) issued for the services in advance and before the due date indicated on the invoice. Cash or cheques will not be accepted.

2.3. The training fees do not cover travel, accommodation or any other costs such as health insurance.

2.4. All bookings are provisional until full payment has been received and acknowledged. Provisional Bookings can be reserved for up to 2 (two) weeks prior to commencement of the Course, provided that the event’s maximum capacity has not been reached.

2.5. After payment has been received in full, the participant’s reservation to the Course will be confirmed.

2.6. Fees quoted are exclusive of VAT, which will be shown, when applicable, separately on the invoice. All bank or other charges related to the payment method chosen, shall be covered by the applicant.

2.7. Organisers aim to ensure that the courses are accessible to all. If you have any specific needs, please advise us at the earliest possible time and we will contact you to discuss your requirements.

2.8. The organisers welcome delegates from overseas; if you are resident outside the European Union (EU) you should ensure that you have a valid visa and can comply with all immigration requirements before booking a Course.

3. Cancellation

3.1. The Cancellation has to be sent by email to training@efmc.eu

3.2. A participant may decide to cancel the enrolment under the following conditions:

3.2.1. Up to 30 days before the start of the training: Fees will be fully reimbursed. A EUR 100 handling fee will be withheld.

3.2.2. From 15 days to 30 days before the start of the course: 50% of the total fee will be reimbursed.

3.2.3. No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the start of the training or for no-shows.

3.3. In case a participant would not be able to attend the training, a substitute can be accepted.

3.4. Training will be confirmed as soon as the minimum number of participants has been reached. All participants will receive a final confirmation the most thirty (30) days before the start of the course.

3.5. Training fees are reimbursed in case of cancellation due to force majeure or due to speakers’ preventions. No compensation will be paid for any additional costs incurred.

4. Other conditions

4.1. Any document provided before, during or after the training is protected by intellectual property rights and must not be duplicated, processed, amended, circulated or published in any other way without the organisers’ written consent.

4.2. The courses are prepared and presented by qualified speakers. Organisers provide training without the obligation of a result, e.g. organisers are not responsible before the participant or third parties for the results achieved through the training. The organisers accept no liability for the correctness or completeness of the training documentation.

4.3. The participants agree that photos, audio and videos may be taken by the organisers for promotional reasons. Should a participant not wish to have his/her image taken during the course, he/she should inform in writing the organisers before the beginning of the training, otherwise his/her consent will be implied.

4.4. Organisers and participants agree not to disclose any confidential information that may arise during the training to anyone, unless, required to do so by law. To ensure the protection of such information and to preserve any confidentiality necessary under patent and/or trade secret laws, it is agreed that the participants are not allowed to make audio and video recordings during the course.

4.5. All personal information provided will be kept confidential and will not be redistributed to third parties.

4.6. Organisers have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.

4.7. Disputes arising will be settled through negotiations. If an agreement is not reached, the disputes will be settled according to the stipulations of the Belgian legislation.
