Horizon Europe Proposal Writing training:
Price: 3-Day training (1490€)
Specially designed for: researchers, scientists, students, project managers which are willing to apply for Horizon Europe framework programmes, as coordinators, or as partners, EU pre-award offices. Suitable for any levels of experience, as the training progressively move from basic notions to most challenging aspects of the proposal preparation.
Grants: Horizon Europe Pillar 2 RIA/IA/CSA
Outcomes: maximise your chances of getting funded. Depending on your previous experience, at the end of the training you will be able to:
• Find a suitable funding opportunity among all possibilities offered by Horizon Europe;
• Professionally “read and deconstruct” a call to proposal
• Plan and lead a complete proposal writing process
• Fill in the application form Part B: Excellence/Impact/Implementation
• To use proposal writing practical tools and techniques (e.g. EFMC enhanced Logical Framework Matrix, budgeting files, Open Science & RDM, background knowledge, IPRs, …)
• Have a correct approach and optimal use of Third Parties (Affiliated Entities, Associated Partners, In-kind contributors, subcontractors)
• Submit a proposal via the Participant Portal submission system
• Plan a balanced and eligible estimated budget

Our trainings always take place in conference rooms (hotels, conference centres, universities) located in the destination city centre. There is a maximum number of 15 participants per training.

Our online training includes training presentations and certificates of participation. Each training day starts at 9.00 and ends at 13.00 (Brussels Time). Applicants can each day have a 20 minutes face to face meeting with our expert who will answer all their questions (12 hours of training + 3×20 minutes of face to face meeting with an EU funds expert). There is a maximum number of participants of 12 per training.

This training is designed for researchers, project coordinators, universities, research institutions, industry partners, SMEs, NGOs, and policymakers looking to apply for Research and Innovation Actions (RIA), Innovation Actions (IA), and Coordination and Support Actions (CSA) under Horizon Europe Pillar 2. It is ideal for both coordinators and partnerspreparing proposals within the Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness framework.
Experience Level: Suitable for all levels of experience, from newcomers to experienced applicants. The training starts with fundamental aspects of Horizon Europe Pillar 2 funding and progressively covers advanced proposal development techniques to maximize success.
Expert Trainers: Our training is led by senior experts with extensive experience in Pillar 2 proposals and European Commission evaluations. Many of our trainers have worked as expert evaluators and reviewers for Horizon Europe, providing first-hand knowledge of the evaluation process. Key Outcomes: This training is designed to help participants write a competitive RIA/IA/CSA proposal, ensuring strong alignment with Horizon Europe’s key strategic objectives and evaluation criteria.

- Understand financial planning and budgeting for RIA/IA/CSA proposals, ensuring cost eligibility and compliance with Horizon Europe rules.
- Gain insight into the evaluation process, including scoring criteria and best practices to meet European Commission expectations.
- Analyze and review their own proposal using evaluation techniques and structured assessment tools to enhance competitiveness.
- Review and discuss a successfully funded RIA/IA/CSA proposal, gaining practical insights into what makes a proposal stand out.
